HUMERIDGE CHURCH OF CHRIST - PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY

HumeRidge Church of Christ is committed to protecting your privacy  and the confidentiality and security of personal  information provided by you to us. The information you  provide is necessary to maintain an awareness of your place  within the Church Family, and may also include updating  your details on our records. The information will also  be used to maintain our contact with you, send church  letters and publications; provide a database for ministry  and support for the Pastoral Care Team and to contact you  about other HumeRidge Church of Christ matters.

Under  the Privacy Legislation you have the right to ask for and  receive a copy of the personal information about you which  we hold to request an amendment to the information  which you do not want us to hold.

HumeRidge Church of Christ will not disclose personal information to  any organisation unless prior consent is obtained or it is  required by law.

How we collect personal information:

  • Directly from you in writing, when you enter your personal details on the following:
    • Friendship / Communication Cards
    • Church Directory Forms
    • Response Slips / Credit card Slips /  Registration Forms for Seminars, Camps, other Church  events and other activities.
    • Agreement / Application Forms
    • Staff Employment Records
  • Indirectly from you by telephone / fax/ e-mail / face to face counselling

How we use your personal information:

  • Pastoral care and prayer support
  • Church Directory and Membership records
  • Office administration procedures.
  • Building Community Relationships

When we disclose your information:

  • Financing / funding support
  • Managing our corporate risk
  • Government and regulatory authorities and organisations, as required or authorised by law.

You can access your personal information

You  have a right to access your personal information, subject  to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would like  to do so, please contact us by letter, fax or e-mail for  security reasons.

Security of Your Information

We take reasonable steps  to ensure that your information is stored securely. We  strive to protect your personal information from misuse,  loss, and unauthorised access.

Information  is held in a secured office environment including secure  computer servers, available to office staff and Ministry Team only.
