About Pathways

PATHWAYS is a new initiative that provides an excellent opportunity for everyone associated with HumeRidge to experience the life God intended for people in His church. Consisting of four sessions, PATHWAYS is designed to help people find their place in the church. The sessions have been developed to assist followers of Christ, experience a sense of
belonging in the church, take hold of the skills necessary for growth in spiritual life, discover how God has equipped them for service and foster a heart for a world separated from God.

The Classes

Membership

Membership is an introduction into the church for new people at HumeRidge. The class considers what it means to be a follower of Jesus; looks at the mission, core values and Biblical beliefs of HumeRidge; helps in understanding the benefits and responsibilities of members; overviews the structure of HumeRidge.

Maturity

Maturity looks at the spiritual disciplines that lead to growth in Christ. The class examines the underlying principles and practice of prayer, devotions, fellowship, and giving, (worship).

Ministry

Ministry is a class that introduces people to the truth that all followers of Jesus are designed and equipped to serve. This session provides a means of discovering how you are gifted and where best that ability can be used.

Mission

Mission looks beyond the community of the church to the world across the street, to the world across the globe. This class considers how followers of Jesus must be like Him in meeting the needs of others so that we might share the Good News of salvation.
